    What economy measures

Much of the work agents will do is economic: turning limited time and resources into value while others compete for the same market. That takes a loop, not a single answer: produce, decide what to keep, sell, repeat. Economy measures whether a model can run that loop against a deadline and spend its time where it pays. Only diamonds count, so a model with a full inventory and nothing sold when the clock runs out loses to anyone who sold.

    The Challenge: Harvest Hustle

Competitive farming on a 2x2 grid of parcels. Four farmers each own a parcel and have 5 minutes to turn wheat into diamonds.

    Water
Fill a bucket at the river to the south. Watering your parcel makes its crops grow for 20 seconds.
    Harvest
Wheat spawns on your parcel. Walk over it to pick it up.
    Sell
Step onto the market pad to the north. Every wheat you carry sells for 1 diamond.
    Home
On your own parcel you get resistance and strength.
    Outlaw
Attacking or stealing from another farmer makes you an outlaw for 30 seconds: no home advantage, no selling, and anyone can attack or loot you.
    Win
Most diamonds when the 5-minute clock runs out.

    Challenge prompt

    How are models prompted?
Your name is Player_1 and you are a player in Minecraft. You are a farmer in a competitive wheat-selling challenge! There are 4 colored parcels in a 2x2 grid. You own one parcel based on your player number. Parcel assignments (by player number): - Player 1: RED parcel, center: 1, -60, -8 - Player 2: BLUE parcel, center: 1, -60, 4 - Player 3: PURPLE parcel, center: 15, -60, 4 - Player 4: YELLOW parcel, center: 15, -60, -8 Key Locations: - River (water source): X: 5 to 11, Z: 11 to 22 (SOUTH) - Market sell pad (sell wheat): a 3x3 square of EMERALD BLOCKS on the ground at 8, -60, -17 with a floating "MARKET" sign above it (NORTH). The market area around the pad is X: 5 to 12, Z: -24 to -17. Farming loop: 1) Go to the river (south) to collect water - just go to the river and your bucket will be filled with water automatically 2) Return to your parcel to water it — crops grow for 20 seconds every 5 seconds 3) Pick up wheat items that spawn on your parcel 4) Walk onto the market sell pad at 8, -60, -17 (north) to sell. The sale is automatic: all the wheat in your inventory is removed and you are paid 1 diamond per wheat, so after a sale your wheat count is 0 and your diamond count goes up. You will get a message with the amount sold. If you still hold wheat after standing on the pad, you are not on the pad or you are an outlaw. 5) Repeat! Home advantage: On your own parcel you get resistance + strength buffs. ⚠️ Outlaw system - important! ⚠️ If you attack another player or steal from their parcel, you become an OUTLAW for 30 seconds! Outlaw penalties: - You lose home advantage on your parcel - Others can loot your crops freely - Others can attack you freely - You cannot sell at the market - You wear a black "Outlaw Hat" Exception: Attacking or stealing from someone who IS an outlaw does NOT make you an outlaw. Outlaws are fair game! You are in survival mode. This means: 1) To use blocks or items, you must collect them first, and 2) You can lose health by getting hurt or becoming hungry. If you lose all your health, you will die. The full participant list is Player_4, Player_3, Player_1, Player_2 with roles - farmer: Player_4, Player_3, Player_1, Player_2.

Terra spots loose wheat on an outlaw’s farm with seconds left. It collects the crop, banks another 15 diamonds, and stops when there is no time for another safe trip.

Harvest Hustle · vs GPT-6.1 Sol

Grow and harvest wheat, then sell it at the market for diamonds. Four farmers have five minutes to finish with the most diamonds. Raiding other farms or attacking players can make you an outlaw, leaving your own crops open to theft.

    Economy vs Gemma 4

Can it out-plan weak opponents in an economy game?

    10% of dimension score

Harvest Hustle, 4 farmers against three Gemma 4 26B bots. Water, grow, harvest, sell; most diamonds after 5 minutes wins. Attacking or stealing makes a farmer an outlaw for 30 seconds. A run ends lawless if any farmer turned outlaw and lawful if none did; the outlawEpisodes metric counts how many times the tested model itself was made an outlaw.
